The program ESPMAILD is used as batch interface program to initiate email messages from Natural on a Unix/Linux platform. ESPMAILD program should be called using the definition(s) described below.
ESPMAILD formats Unix/Linux commands for the Unix SMTP mail program and relies on special keywords embedded in an input workfile. This input-workfile should contain the email address(es), return/from address, subject line, location of message dataset and the actual dataset name with message lines that can either be embedded in the email message or attached to the email message; depending on the specific keyword used. The attachment is automatically encoded and a large variety of file-types are supported including Pdf, JPG, TIF, ZIP, GZ, TXT etc.

- EMAILTO: Recipient Email address(es) or email group name
- CC: CC Recipient Email address(es) or group name
- BCC: BCC Email address(es) or group name
- FROM: From address
- SUBJECT: Subject for Email message (Max 200 characters)
- SUBSYSTEM: Location of dataset with message lines
- DATASET: Embed this dataset as message lines
- ATTACH_DATASET: Attach dataset to email message
